Future plans for this property will be closely watched; the concern is that the Seattle School District may decide to sell it, resulting in another “Briarcliff” fiasco for Magnolia. In the meantime the MNPC anticipates engaging the School District in order to ensure that the property is being properly maintained, in accordance with the applicable City codes, and in particular those that deal with vacant buildings, and building upkeep, and vegetation management (See Elizabeth Campbell’s letter to District and a short PowerPoint Show for further information about this local site).
