Become a Planning Council Board Member or committee LEADER

It’s easy, and it is a rewarding experience!  Please contact us, or attend one of our regular meetings (as advertised in the Magnolia News).  Board members and committee leaders attend a once a month meeting, held on the 3rd Friday of the month, at the United Church of Christ.  Meetings start at 6:30 pm, and last for one to one and a half hours, depending on the amount of business to be conducted.

Members and leaders are an important part of the planning process for the Magnolia Neighborhood Plan, as they and the constituency they represent — their neighborhood – know best what kinds of things are needed to maintain and/or expand the amenities within their neighborhood, and how best to maintain and/or develop further the quality of their neighborhood life and experience.

Neighborhood representatives are also important to the other aspect of the MNPC, the constituency services it offers—either as an advocate for the neighborhood, or as a facilitator for neighborhood projects, representative are an important link between the planning council and the neighborhood.
